The Sudanese army carries out a strike in the border triangle, and the Rapid Support Forces welcome Trump's efforts.

The Sudanese army bombed a Rapid Support Forces (RSF) convoy in the border triangle region between Sudan, Egypt, and Libya, while fighting intensified between the two sides in North Kordofan state in central Sudan, amid a worsening humanitarian crisis and regional and international efforts to end the conflict. A military source told Al Jazeera on Friday that the army destroyed more than 50 combat vehicles and a number of fuel and ammunition trucks belonging to the RSF in an airstrike in the border triangle region. The source stated that these vehicles were en route from eastern Libya to Sudan via the land border. In the Kordofan region in central Sudan, clashes renewed in several areas, particularly near the city of Bara and west of El Obeid in North Kordofan state, where the army and its allied forces announced territorial gains. The Sudanese army stated that it had secured control of the Jabal Abi Sunun and Abi Qud areas. For its part, the RSF stated that it had advanced on the western axis of El Obeid in the Jabal Issa and Al-Ayara areas.
